Position Overview:
We are seeking a Chief Developer to serve as a senior technical leader within the Hanoi engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving technical direction for our ERP platform, mentoring a team of developers, and ensuring the quality, security, and scalability of our solutions.
You will work closely with the Singapore headquarters to translate evolving product requirements into robust technical solutions and you will champion best practices in architecture, code quality, and AI-driven development methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Direction & Architecture:
- Define, evaluate, and review technical solutions using Java EE, Hibernate/JPA, JSF, PrimeFaces, and PostgreSQL.
- Propose and present architectural decisions and technology strategies to leadership.
- Research and implement emerging technologies to improve product quality and developer productivity.
Development Leadership:
- Collaborate within a team of Chief Developers to guide and support junior and mid-level engineers on complex development tasks.
- Support teams in scoping and creating technical proposals for new modules and project features.
- Lead code reviews and establish development standards that promote code quality and maintainability.
Production Support & Problem-Solving:
- Investigate and resolve critical production issues related to debugging, performance optimization, workload management, and security.
- Communicate directly with third-party vendors and integration partners on technical matters.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with Business Analysts and the Singapore HQ to clarify requirements and ensure technical feasibility.
- Contribute to pre-sales and proposal activities by providing technical input on solution scope and effort estimation.
Requirements (Must Have):
Proven experience as a Chief Developer, Senior Developer, or in a technical leadership role, preferably within an ERP or enterprise software company.
Strong background in system design, software architecture, and Java-based enterprise development (Java EE, Hibernate/JPA, JSF/PrimeFaces, PostgreSQL).
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and deliver practical, innovative solutions.
Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar LLM-based coding tools) and a drive to integrate AI into the development workflow.
Knowledge of current technology trends and best practices in enterprise software development.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with business-level English proficiency.
High integrity and a genuine passion for code quality, knowledge sharing, and building a strong engineering culture.
Commitment to confidentiality and proactive security risk management.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):
Experience developing or operating large-scale ERP or enterprise web applications.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience in a multinational or cross-cultural development environment.

Employment Type: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience (13th & 14th month bonuses included)
